Expecting a Monster? Hardly...

 

My character in my book is a far cry from today's vampires. Lydia is a mortal vampire. She is a sanguinarian.. A vampire that loves blood... But she has also become a monster of sorts. And has started taking blood without her victims consent.

 

Today's sanguinarians are real and do live among us. But with living donors that give blood of their own free will. They are the normal mortal people you meet everyday, they just have other ways of nourishing their bodies. The are not the Hollywood sterotypes you would expect. Erotic and sexy? You decide.

 

Of course there are other vampires. You might not think of them as vampires. They are psychic vampires. They take energy from others. The worst part is they can be sneakier than the Sang vampires. Don't get me wrong. Most operate under a code of ethics, and really don't take the energy from someone who is not willing. But they could take energy without you knowing, and you would just feel drained. There are even people who drain others and are not aware of it themselves.. Not self aware at all. But make a habit of draining energy from others. Are the Vampires, psi vampires and just don't know it?

 

Even these two vampires types will sometimes argue about the other. Sangs sometimes will not recognize psi Vamps. And there are hybrids of the two.

 

I think we will all agree we all have energy. We all give it off, whether negative or positive. And it can effect other people. Whether the energy is thru blood, thru absorbtion, thru sex (now there's some energy being exchanged!) or any other means, the energy is there and exchanged by us all.

 

If you put your had on a sick loved ones forhead, and wish them well, are you giving them your own energy to help them along? What a nice gesture. And if you were sick could you pull the energy from others to make yourself well?

 

Again, you decide.. I will keep my opinions to myself.. My real friends know me and what I am about.
